Businesses large and small, foundations and individuals across the nation support Operation Outreach-USA in their communities to improve literacy and raise the bar on academic performance.

OO-USA gives books to children, lesson plans to teachers and guides to parents. OO-USA puts reading first, but takes it an important step further. Not only does it teach children to read and to be motivated and challenged to expand their knowledge base, it teaches respect, responsibility, courage, leadership and determination through specially chosen books and teacher-designed lesson plans. It helps to build a child’s character and self-esteem, the foundation of good citizenship.

For many children, the OO-USA books are the first they have ever owned.  Pride in ownership of brand new books goes a long way toward building confidence and inspiring children to achieve.  OO-USA is simple and effective for both schools and sponsors. Many businesses find OO-USA supports their own public relations efforts, particularly in communities where their employees live and work.
